Business lockouts cost you open hours as well as a door, so here is what to expect when you telephone us, in four short points.
- How fast we get thereA technician normally reaches your premises within 20 to 30 minutes, day or night, anywhere in the Las Vegas valley.
- Who can let us inThe owner, a named manager, or the landlord or property manager, carrying photo identification and something that connects them to the business.
- What it costsYou hear the price on the telephone before we set off, and overnight visits cost more than daytime appointments, which we tell you up front.
- After the door is openIf a key disappeared with a former employee, we can rekey every door it operates during the same visit.
What Happens When You Call
Tell us the address and suite number, the kind of door and the type of lock. A glass storefront, a steel back door and a wooden office door each require different tools, so those details decide the price you hear on the telephone.
If there is a fire, a gas smell or a medical emergency behind the door, call 911 first, because firefighters can force entry when lives are at risk. For everything else, we answer the telephone 24 hours a day.
How We Open a Commercial Door
Most office doors open without any damage. A trained technician picks the lock, slips the latch with a bypass tool, or operates the inside lever with a tool passed under the door. Glass storefronts receive extra care, since the glass is expensive to replace.
Drilling is the last option. We use it only when a lock has failed internally or when it is a high security cylinder designed to resist picking, and we always explain that before starting.

Keypads, Card Readers and Access Control
When a keypad or card reader stops working, the cause is often a dead battery, a failed power supply or a lost network connection. A technician can usually power the lock, reset it, or use the key override that most electronic locks hide behind a small cover.
For doors that see heavy traffic, we also install access control systems, so you can add or remove a person in minutes rather than cutting new keys.
Who Can Authorize Entry
A careful locksmith will not open a business door simply because someone says it is their office. The owner, an officer of the company, a manager the owner has named, or the landlord or property manager can approve entry, and the name on the identification should match the lease, the business license or a letter from one of those people.
If you are an employee and the owner is away, ask the owner to telephone us directly, because that short conversation settles most questions. Our office lockout guide covers authorization and leased space in more detail.
Stop the Next Lockout
A properly planned master key system gives managers one key for every door and gives staff keys only for their own areas, so a single missing key never closes your business. Estimates for business work are free, and our commercial locksmith page covers rekeying, master keys and commercial door hardware.

Questions We Get Asked
How fast can a locksmith reach my office?
A technician normally reaches you within 20 to 30 minutes, day or night, depending on traffic and on where in the valley your business is located.
How much does an office lockout cost?
It depends on the door, the lock and the time of day. We give you the price on the telephone before anyone is dispatched, and overnight work costs more than an ordinary weekday visit.
What do I need to show the locksmith?
Photo identification plus something that connects you to the business, such as a business license, a lease, a utility bill or a letter from the property manager.
Will you damage the door or the glass?
Almost never. We pick the lock or use a bypass tool first, and drilling is a last resort that we explain before starting any work.
An employee left with a key. What now?
Rekey every door that key operates, ideally during the same week. With a master key system you only replace the cylinders that particular key operated.
Do you open offices at night and on weekends?
Yes. We answer the telephone 24 hours a day, every day, and we confirm the price for overnight work before a technician sets off.
We also handle rekeying and master key systems, residential lockouts and business safes. If your business sits outside the city, ask when you call and we will tell you honestly how long we will take to reach you.
