Is rekeying cheaper than changing the locks?
In almost every case it is. Rekeying reuses the lock you already own and simply rearranges the pins inside it, which stops the previous keys from working. Replacement hardware only becomes the sensible option when the existing lock is worn, physically damaged or you specifically want to upgrade it.
Will you damage my door or my lock?
