When an electronic safe will not open, we come to your home or business in Las Vegas, 24/7, and get it open. We repair and replace keypad and biometric safe locks, open safes after lost codes and keypad failures, and a technician usually arrives within 20 to 30 minutes.
Electronic locks are one part of the safe work we do across the valley. We ask for proof of ownership before opening any safe, and you hear the price up front.
- Batteries firstWe rule out power problems and loose battery contacts before we ever touch the lock itself.
- Bypass before drillingWherever the design allows it, we get past a failed keypad without cutting into the door.
- New lock on the spotIf the keypad is finished, we can install a replacement electronic lock or a traditional dial lock.
- Licensed techniciansEvery visit falls under City of Las Vegas Locksmith License #P64-00012, and you can verify our license anytime.

What Kind of Electronic Safe Do You Have?
Almost any safe can carry an electronic lock, from a small closet box to a heavy commercial safe. These are the electronic safes our technicians see most often.
Keypad Wall or Closet Safe

This is a compact safe with a number pad and a small handle, often recessed into a wall or bolted inside a closet. Weak batteries cause most lockouts, and an inexpensive solenoid can stick even when the code is entered correctly.
Biometric Safe

A fingerprint reader opens this safe, sometimes with a keypad or key as a backup. Cuts, dry skin and dust on the sensor can prevent a reading, and stored fingerprints can disappear when the power fails.
Small Personal or Hotel Style Safe
These little safes usually sit in a dresser or cabinet and use a short code with a hidden override key. The override key is easy to misplace, and the keypad wiring can come loose after a fall or a hard bump.
Large Safe With an Electronic Lock
Many gun safes and business safes use an electronic keypad instead of a dial. The lock is often a standard size, so a failed keypad can usually be replaced with a new keypad or a dial lock once the door is open.
Problems We Fix
- The keypad is dead and nothing lights up.We try fresh batteries or outside power first, then open the safe by bypass or another non destructive method if the lock itself has failed.
- I typed the wrong code too many times. Most keypads lock out for a set period, so we wait it out with you and then test both the code and the lock.
- It beeps when I enter the code but stays locked.A sticky solenoid or a loose wire is a common cause, and we open the safe and then repair or replace the lock.
- My fingerprint does not work anymore. We open the safe using the backup method or another careful technique, then reset or replace the fingerprint reader.
- I want to change the code before a move or a new hire.Once you are inside, we reset the code or install a new lock and show you how to change the code yourself later.
How We Handle the Job
- 1
Check proof of ownership
We look at your identification and a document that connects you to the safe or the property.
- 2
Test the power and keypad
We check the batteries, the wiring and the keypad before treating the problem as a lock failure.
- 3
Open with the least damage
We bypass the failed keypad or work the lock wherever possible, and we drill only as a last resort.
- 4
Repair or replace the lock
We repair or replace the lock, program your new code and test it several times before leaving.
What Decides the Price
The cost to fix an electronic safe depends on whether the lock can be saved or must be replaced. A dead battery is a small job, while a failed keypad on a heavy commercial safe requires more time and additional parts.
You always hear the full price before we begin. Our locksmith pricing guide explains how travel, time of day and replacement parts can change the total.
Keeping an Electronic Safe Working in Las Vegas
Heat is hard on keypads and batteries, and a garage during a Las Vegas summer can get hot enough to shorten battery life considerably. Keep electronic safes in a cool interior room whenever possible, and replace the batteries once a year with quality alkaline cells.
Store the backup key or override key outside the safe, somewhere you will actually remember. In an apartment, ask the property manager before drilling into a wall or floor to anchor a safe, and in a business, give each employee a separate code if the lock supports it.
