We make and program Jaguar keys at your car in Las Vegas, Henderson and North Las Vegas, any hour of the day or night. Older XJ sedans, the XF, the F Type and the Pace SUVs all use different keys, and we bring the correct key for your model year, with the price explained before any work starts.

If you have no key left at all, read our page on lost car keys with no spare to see what to do first, because we can usually still produce a new key right at the vehicle.

  • Push to startMost Jaguars from the 2010s on start with a button and a smart fob that stays in your pocket.
  • Activity KeySome newer Jaguar SUVs offer a waterproof wristband that locks and unlocks the vehicle while the fob stays inside.
  • Older XJClassic XJ sedans take a metal key that we can produce by decoding the lock on the door.

Which Jaguar Key Do You Have?

Older Jaguars used metal keys, then transponder keys with remote fobs through the late 1990s and 2000s, and most models since the early 2010s use a smart fob with push to start.

  • Metal keyClassic Jaguars from before the mid 1990s use a plain cut key with no transponder chip, which we cut from the original key code or by decoding the lock.
  • Chip key with remoteMany Jaguars from the late 1990s through the 2000s use a key with a transponder chip plus a remote for the locks. Both parts have to be programmed to the vehicle before it will start and unlock.
  • Smart fobThis fob stays in a pocket while you press the start button, and it holds a small emergency key for the door, and we program replacement fobs on site for most Jaguar models.
  • Activity Key bandSome later F Pace and I Pace SUVs came with a wristband key for swimming or hiking trips. It is a specialized part, so call us with the model year and we will tell you honestly what we can do.

The XE arrived in the US for the 2017 model year, and it uses a smart fob with push to start. Many trims also have keyless entry, and a replacement fob is programmed to the vehicle on site.

Jaguar XF

The XF arrived in the late 2000s with a start button from the first year. Early cars had keyless entry only on certain trims and later cars have it on most, so mention your model year and we will bring the correct fob.

Jaguar XJ

The XJ ran for decades, so older cars use a plain metal key while many cars from the mid 1990s through the 2000s use a transponder key with a remote. The redesigned XJ from around 2011 uses a smart fob with push to start.

Jaguar F Type

How We Make a New Jaguar Key

  1. 1

    Send the VIN

We look up exactly which key your Jaguar was originally built with before we drive out to you.

  2. 2

    Confirm the plan

We explain the price and whether any dealer step applies, so nothing surprises you later.

  3. 3

    Program on site

We cut any emergency blade and program the replacement fob or key to the vehicle.

  4. 4

    Test it all

We start the engine and test the locks, the trunk and keyless entry while you stand there.

What a Jaguar Key Costs in Las Vegas

Jaguar keys sit at the higher end of what we make, because the electronics are more involved. A chip key with programming for an older Jaguar is typically $150 to $350 in Las Vegas, smart fobs cost more than that, and nights, weekends and holidays usually add $25 to $75.

The model year, the key type and whether you have a working key all change the price. Read our automotive locksmith page to see everything else we handle for vehicles.

Make a Spare Before You Need One

Jaguar owners often have only one fob remaining, because the second one disappeared years ago. Adding a fob while you still have a working one is the easier job, while a vehicle with no fob requires more work to accept a new key, so have a spare made before that happens. See the other car keys we make.

Owning a Jaguar in Las Vegas

Desert heat drains Jaguar fob batteries, and a weak battery can look exactly like a broken key. Try a fresh battery first, and if that does not solve the problem, we come to your home, your office or a garage on the Strip to sort it out.
