We make Plymouth keys at your car in Las Vegas, 24/7. Plymouth stopped building cars after 2001, so every Plymouth on the road is an older vehicle, and most Plymouths take a plain cut key that we can produce on site.

Have no key at all, or is the only one locked inside the car? We can open the vehicle and cut a new key from the lock or the original key code, and our page on lost car keys with no spare explains the process in detail.

  • Classics welcomeWe cut keys for Plymouths built anywhere from the 1950s through 2001.
  • No original neededWe can decode the lock and cut a key that operates it correctly.
  • Careful with old partsWe take extra time with worn lock cylinders and original paint.
  • Lockout and key togetherIf the car is locked, we open it and make the replacement key during one visit.

Which Plymouth Key Do You Have?

For most of its history Plymouth used plain cut keys, and many older models used one key for the ignition and a second key for the doors and trunk. Only a few of the final Plymouths from the late 1990s may have a security chip in the key.

  • Ignition keyOn many classic Plymouths this key operates only the ignition, and its head is often shaped differently from the door key. We cut it from the original code or by decoding the ignition cylinder.
  • Door and trunk keyThe second key on older Plymouths operates the doors and trunk, and if you only have one of the two, we can generate the other from the lock.
  • Single plain cut keyMany Plymouths from the 1980s and 1990s use one key for everything, with no security chip and no buttons, which makes it usually the quickest and least expensive key we produce.
  • Chip key on late modelsA few of the final Plymouths from the late 1990s may have a security chip in the key, so we confirm your model year before we arrive and bring the correct blank.

Plymouth Models and Their Keys

The Acclaim, built from 1989 to 1995, uses a plain cut key with no security chip, and we cut it from the lock or the original code right at the car.

Plymouth Arrow

The Arrow, a compact car manufactured for Plymouth by Mitsubishi in the late 1970s, uses a plain cut key. Blanks for it are less common, so please call ahead with the model year.

Plymouth Barracuda

The Barracuda, built from 1964 to 1974, uses plain metal keys, often one for the ignition and another for the doors and trunk. We cut a key to fit even if the original keys disappeared decades ago.

Plymouth Belvedere

The Belvedere ran from the mid 1950s to 1970 and uses plain metal keys, and like many Chrysler products of that period, most have separate ignition and door keys. We can match a new key to worn locks.

Plymouth Breeze

The Breeze, built from 1996 to 2000, uses a plain cut key on most cars. Some later ones may have a transponder key, so a model year or a quick look at the original key helps us bring the correct one.

Plymouth Caravelle

The American Caravelle, sold from 1985 to 1988, uses a plain cut key. It is closely related to other Chrysler cars of that period, so the key blank is not difficult to locate.

Plymouth Colt

The Colt was manufactured for Plymouth by Mitsubishi across many years, ending in the mid 1990s, and it uses a plain cut key. We cut it on site, and there is no security chip to program.

How We Make a New Plymouth Key

  1. 1

    Tell us the year

The model and year tell us which key blank and cutting information to bring.

  2. 2

    Open if locked

If the car is locked, we open it without damaging the door, the glass or the paint.

  3. 3

    Decode the lock

We decode the lock or use the original key code to cut a key that operates it correctly.

  4. 4

    Test every lock

We test the ignition, the doors and the trunk with the new key or keys before we leave.

What a Plymouth Key Costs in Las Vegas

A plain cut key for an older Plymouth typically runs $50 to $180 in Las Vegas, and most Plymouth jobs stay within that range. If a late Breeze requires a transponder key, that is typically $150 to $350 with programming.

A lockout by itself is usually $45 to $135, and nights, weekends and holidays usually add $25 to $75. Making two keys for a car with separate ignition and door locks can cost more than making one, and our price guide has additional information.

Make a Spare Before You Need One

Classic car keys wear out, and original locks become harder to decode every year. Cutting a spare now from your working key is quick and inexpensive, whereas waiting until every key is gone means we have to start from the lock, which takes longer, so see our car keys page for more information.

Owning a Plymouth in Las Vegas

Las Vegas is kind to older Plymouths because the dry desert air prevents most rust, and plenty of classics appear at car shows and weekend cruises. The sun is harder on them, since original ignition cylinders stiffen, keys wear thin and door locks bind during summer heat, so if your key is difficult to turn, a freshly cut key often helps, and we can inspect the lock while we are there.
