We make and program Saturn keys at your car in Las Vegas, 24/7. General Motors discontinued the Saturn brand in 2010, so these are older vehicles now, and we still cut and program Saturn keys on site without a trip to a dealership.

If you lost the only key to your Saturn, we can make a new one from the lock or the original key code, and our tips on lost car keys with no spare explain what to expect. If the key is locked inside, we open the car first.

  • Still daily driversSaturns stopped selling after 2010, but many remain in daily service around the valley.
  • GM security systemsMany Saturns use General Motors security that requires a relearn after a new key, and we perform that on site.
  • Two kinds of keysSome Saturns take a plain key, while others need a transponder chip programmed.
  • Known costWe tell you the price before we start any work on the vehicle.

Which Saturn Key Do You Have?

Early Saturns used plain cut keys, and many from the 2000s used a cut key with the security system built into the ignition. The final Saturns, including the Outlook and the later Vue, moved to transponder keys.

  • Plain cut keyMost S Series cars use this key, which has no security chip and no buttons, and we cut it from the original code or the lock within a few minutes.
  • Cut key with ignition securityMany 2000s Saturns use a plain looking key while the security system sits in the ignition. After a new key or ignition repair, the car may need a relearn procedure before it will start, which we handle at the vehicle.
  • Transponder chip keyThis key has a security chip in the head and often a separate remote, and the Outlook and the later Vue use one. We cut the key and program the chip on site.

Saturn Models and Their Keys

Saturn S Series

The S Series, built from 1991 to 2002, uses a plain cut key on most cars. These are simple keys, so a replacement is usually a quick and inexpensive job.

Saturn L Series

The L Series, built from 2000 to 2005, uses a cut key on most cars, with a security system that can require a relearn after a new key. We cut the key and complete the relearn procedure at the car.

Saturn Vue

The first Vue, from 2002 to 2007, uses a cut key, and its security arrangement changed during those years, so the exact model year matters. The second Vue, from 2008 to 2010, uses a transponder key with a remote, so tell us the year when you call.

Saturn Ion

The Ion, sold from 2003 to 2007, uses a cut key with the security system in the ignition on most cars. If the security light stays on after a new key, the car needs a relearn procedure, which we perform on site.

Saturn Relay

The Relay minivan, sold from 2005 to 2007, shares most of its components with other General Motors minivans of that period. It uses a cut key with ignition security on most vans, plus a separate remote.

Saturn Sky

The Sky roadster was sold from 2007 to 2009, and it uses a key with remote buttons on most cars. The security system has to accept the new key, which we set up at the vehicle.

Saturn Outlook

The Outlook, from 2007 to 2010, uses a transponder chip key with a separate remote, like its GMC Acadia relative. A new key needs the correct cut and a programmed chip, and we can pair a remote as well.

How We Make a New Saturn Key

  1. 1

    Share the year

Saturn keys changed over the years, so we begin with the model and the model year.

  2. 2

    Check ownership

We review your identification and the registration or title before we make a key.

  3. 3

    Cut and relearn

We cut the key, then program the chip or run the security relearn if your Saturn requires one.

  4. 4

    Start it up

We start the car several times to confirm the new key is accepted every time.

What a Saturn Key Costs in Las Vegas

A plain cut key for a Saturn typically costs $50 to $180 in Las Vegas, while a transponder key with programming is usually $150 to $350, and a relearn on an older General Motors system can add time to the job. Expect $25 to $75 more if you call at night, on a weekend or on a holiday.

Whether a working key remains and which security system your Saturn uses are the two factors that change the price, and our price guide explains more.

Make a Spare Before You Need One

Saturn keys are aging too, and a worn key can snap inside the ignition. A spare cut now from a good key is inexpensive and quick, whereas waiting until all keys are lost means starting from the lock and the security system, which costs more, so see our car keys page for what we make.

Owning a Saturn in Las Vegas

Saturns in Las Vegas are often second cars or commuter vehicles parked in apartment lots. Most are well over 15 years old by now, so keys and ignition cylinders are worn, and if your key sticks or the security light flickers, get a spare made before the original quits on you along the 95 or the 215.
